Construction & Technology
SL Hyper Alloy is a superlight alloy running a thinner wall than standard, which is the classic lever for extracting more trampoline from aluminum — thinner walls flex more at contact. The risk with thin-wall alloy is durability, which is presumably why Louisville Slugger backs it with a full 12-month warranty.
The Tuned Mass Damper is the genuinely interesting inclusion. It is a vibration absorption system tuned to a specific frequency, and it is the kind of technology that normally appears a price tier or two up. On a one-piece alloy bat with no connection joint to isolate the hands, it does real work.
